A Guide to Fiberglass mesh
April 20, 2022
Glass fiber mesh cloth is based on glass fiber woven fabric, which is soaked and coated with polymer anti-emulsion. Therefore, it has good alkali resistance, flexibility and high tensile strength in the warp and weft direction, and can be widely used in the thermal insulation, waterproof, fire prevention and crack resistance of the interior and exterior walls of buildings.

The glass fiber mesh is mainly made of alkali-resistant glass fiber mesh. It is made of medium-alkali-free glass fiber yarn (the main component is silicate, with good chemical stability), which is twisted by a special structure-leno weave. Afterwards, it is subjected to high temperature heat setting treatment such as anti-alkali solution and enhancer.
What is Fiberglass Mesh
The fiber mesh cloth is woven from medium-alkali or alkali-free glass fiber yarn and coated with alkali-resistant polymer emulsion. Products: alkali-resistant GRC fiberglass netting, alkali-resistant wall reinforcement, special mesh for mosaic sheet and stone, marble backed mesh cloth.

Main uses are widely used in:

1) On wall reinforcement materials (such as fiberglass wall mesh, GRC wallboard, EPS interior and exterior wall insulation boards, gypsum board, etc.).

2) Reinforced cement products (such as Roman columns, flues, etc.)

3) Special fiberglass mesh for granite and mosaic, and marble back mesh.

4) Waterproofing membrane cloth, asphalt roof waterproofing.

5) Reinforcing the skeleton material of plastic and rubber products.

6) Fire board.

7) Grinding wheel base cloth.

8) Geogrid for highway pavement.

9) Caulking tape for construction, etc.
