Analysis on development status and product structure of China's glass fiber industry in 2021

Fiberglass is a kind of inorganic nonmetal material with excellent performance, which is used to make reinforced plastics or reinforced rubber. As a reinforcing material, fiberglass has the following characteristics, which make it more widely used than other kinds of fibers.

There are many ways to classify glass fibers

(1) According to different raw materials, glass fiber can be divided into non alkali, medium alkali, high alkali and special glass fiber;

(2) According to the different appearance of fiber, glass fiber can be divided into continuous glass fiber, fixed length glass fiber and glass wool;

(3) According to the difference of monofilament diameter, glass fiber can be divided into superfine fiber (less than 4 bucket m in diameter), advanced fiber (3 ~ 10 bucket m in diameter), intermediate fiber (more than 20 bucket m in diameter) and coarse fiber (about 30? M in diameter).

(4) According to the different fiber properties, glass fiber can be divided into ordinary glass fiber, strong acid and alkali resistant glass fiber and strong acid resistant glass fiber

Glass fiber yarn production growth rate dropped significantly.

In 2020, the total output of glass fiber yarn will be 5.41 million tons, with a year-on-year growth of 2.64%, and the growth rate will drop significantly compared with last year. Despite the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic has a major impact on the global economy, but thanks to the continuous improvement of the whole industry capacity regulation since 2019, and the timely recovery of the domestic demand market, there has not been a large scale of serious inventory backlog.

In the third quarter, with the rapid growth of wind power market demand and the gradual recovery of demand in infrastructure, home appliances, electronics and other fields, the supply and demand situation of glass fiber yarn market has undergone a fundamental change, and the price of various types of glass fiber yarn has gradually entered a rapid rising channel.
