    Alireza Remezani, the lead researcher of the project explained. "Our idea is to have a machine that can use the power of its legs and thrusters to increase its jumping ability."

    Leo is about 2.5 feet (0.8 meters) tall, with two slender legs on his body, using the "chicken walking machine" posture to move forward. In order to achieve a good balance between power and lightness, the key is to use carbon fiber composite materials, weighing only 6 pounds (2.7 kg). In addition, there are a pair of thrusters on both sides of its body, enough to make it fly.

   However, Leo will not fly in the air like ordinary old drones, because this is not his real goal. On the contrary, Leo's thruster design can help give it more air time after jumping, allowing it to jump over obstacles and land safely on the other side.
